Some places tell a story at first glance. This old mill, located near Honfleur, in the midst of a lush environment, is one of those places. In 2022, our firm had the honor of supporting its transformation through a comprehensive project of restructuring, renovation, and interior decoration.

A Project Driven by Emotion and Respect for the Existing Structure

This project was primarily a meeting: that of a building with a unique charm, marked by time, and that of a project owner deeply attached to its authenticity. Their wish was clear: to preserve the soul of the place while giving it a new coherence capable of meeting today’s comfort and usage requirements.

Rethinking Spaces Without Betraying the Spirit of the Mill

In the face of this atypical architecture, a thorough renovation was necessary. We undertook a significant restructuring of the spaces to completely rethink their interior organization. This compositional work allowed us to reveal new balances, enhance the flow of circulation, and highlight the inherent qualities of the existing structure.

Throughout the project, our intention remained the same: to intervene with respect, without erasing the building's history. Every architectural choice, every material, every finish was designed to create a subtle dialogue between the past and the present. The interior project thus took shape in a simple, elegant, and warm atmosphere, perfectly resonating with the spirit of the place and the expectations of the owner.
